Rifay Toisutta has more than 12 years experience in Administration, Logistics and Procurement. He started working as a laborer in the distribution of packages for refugees with ACF after the riots in Maluku in 2000. Rifay then worked as a packager and was placed in a warehouse with + 50 workers whose daily work prepared food items to be distributed in various refugee shelters scattered in various regions in Maluku. For his achievement, Rifay was appointed as a head packager and later worked as a counter to the ACF organization in Ambon until mid 2001.
Rifay joined Save the Children in Ambon in mid-2001 as a driver, until Save the Children closed its programme in Ambon when the Aceh Tsunami occurred in the mid of 2005. Rifay rejoined Save the Children in early 2006 and was hired as a Field Admin and Logistics Assistant at the field office in West Seram District until July 2012.
Rifay joined Mercy Corps in August 2012 as Support Logistics Assistant and was subsequently appointed as Procurement and Logistics Officer. Recently, as an Admin Logistics and Procurement Officer, he is in charge of organizing meetings and workshosp, maintaining assets, making travel arrangements, managing vehicles, and supervising drivers, security and cleaning staff at the Ambon office. He is responsible for procurement for all Ambon-based programs in accordance with organization and donor policies and procedures.
