Alven Fidel Lokollo graduated from Department of Electrical Engineering Ambon State Polytechnic in 2023. His interest in renewable energy began during his studies when he took a course on the subject. For his final project, he was tasked with designing a technical plan for a solar power system (PLTS) for household needs, which involved calculating electricity requirements and then theoretically designing and simulating the system to meet the power demands of each student’s home. This experience further fueled his desire to delve deeper into renewable energy.
Alven first became acquainted with NZMATES during his studies when the team delivered a lecture on renewable energy. He later joined as an enumerator for the baseline survey of PLTS Pulau Tiga. After graduating, he had the opportunity to intern at NZMATES as a Renewable Energy Junior Engineer (REJE). He now serves as a staff member in the position of Renewable Energy Technical Assistant (RETA) at NZMATES.
In his role as RETA, he supports the work of the Renewable Energy Technical Specialists (RETS) to develop renewable energy in Maluku Province. This also serves as an opportunity for him to enhance his capacity, knowledge, and experience in renewable energy, while being directly involved in providing technical assistance and solutions to program partners.
