Jean has more than 10 years’ experience working in NGOs, mainly in finance and human resources positions. Jean spent years working for Save the Children in Ambon and Makassar, and USAID APIK project in Ambon. Her NGO experience mainly focused on climate crisis, climate change adaptation, and disaster risk reduction.
Prior to joining NZMATES, Jean also had previous experience working for Mercy Corps, as enumerator and data entry for the DEAL/SUD project, the program aimed to foster systemic changes to develop equitable nutmeg and clove markets in Maluku.
Her responsibilities as Senior Finance and Admin Officer are to maintain financial control of the day-to-day operations within the finance services including the provision of procurement support, as well as maintaining and updating accounting procedures and delegations, and assisting in the preparation of the annual financial statements. Jean is also responsible for managing the monthly accounting cycle, as well as ensuring the accuracy and completeness of NZMATES accounting records.
